Crab sticks appeared in the 20th century in Japan. Almost instantly, this product became one of the most recognizable on the market. Crab sticks were purchased for appetizers and salads, as well as for other Japanese dishes. A little later, crab sticks began to be sold in the U.S.S.R.
Soviet housewives liked this product no less than Japanese housewives. Therefore, the country soon learned about new salads from crab sticks. The most popular among the thousands of recipes became the salad “Crab”. However, this is not the only appetizer that should be prepared for the holiday table.
In addition to crab salad, you can make crab rolls. These are rolls with a thin egg layer, where the stuffing of crab sticks is wrapped. The dish turns out quickly, looks spectacular on the table and pleases all the guests. Let’s prepare this appetizer for the holidays.
Ingredients:
- crab sticks – 200 g;
- cheese – 200 g;
- dill – a bunch;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- mayonnaise – 2 tbsp;
- eggs – 5 pcs;
Preparation of crab appetizer:
Grate crab sticks and cheese on a coarse grater, chop finely dill. Press garlic cloves through a press to the mixture of sticks, cheese and greens.
Mix the filling with mayonnaise. Beat each egg in a separate bowl, fry them separately on a dry pan on both sides.

You should get 5 thin egg pancakes.
Brush each pancake with the crab filling and roll up into a roll. The uneven ends of the rolls are trimmed, divide the rolls into smaller portions.

Decorate the appetizer with sprigs of dill.
