Bread is in great demand everywhere. It is impossible to find a store that does not sell this product. Many bakeries specialize in baking delicious and fragrant loaves. Even in the ancient Roman cities of Herculaneum and Pompeii, which were destroyed as a result of the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 BC, were found 40 bakeries. Moreover, most of them even had their own mills. There they also found bread and recreated the recipe according to its composition.
Today we will try to quickly and easily prepare Italian bread, cook with us.
Ingredients for the bread:
- wheat flour – 550 g;
- dry yeast – 8 g;
- sugar – tsp;
- water;
- salt – 1.5 tsp;
- vegetable oil – 30 ml.
Preparation of bread:
In a bowl pour 100 ml of warm water. Pour sugar and yeast. Add 3 tablespoons of flour. Stir the ingredients with a whisk. Cover with a film and a towel and leave for 20 minutes.
Pass wheat flour through a sieve, add salt and stir with a spatula. Make a depression in the dry ingredients and pour in the prepared dough. Dilute with water.
Stir and add vegetable oil. Cover and leave for 20 minutes.
Turn the dough from the edge to the center. Leave again for 20 minutes. Wet your hands and repeat again.
Let the dough rise for an hour.
Sprinkle the table with flour. Gently stretch the dough into a layer, then fold the edges to the center. Sprinkle flour on top and
cut into 4 equal pieces.
Carefully transfer to a baking tray lined with parchment
, cover and let rise for 30 minutes before placing in the oven.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 30-35 minutes on top and bottom.
The bread is ready, cool and taste!
