We know quite a few modern dishes that are made from potatoes. It is the main side dish for most meals. All popular appetizers are also created from potatoes, whether it is chips, French fries and country-style potatoes.

Everyone knows about the relevance of potatoes now. But, in the distant XVIII century, this vegetable was not much loved. The fact is that it was even dangerous to consume potatoes. Uninformed peasants ate the flowers of the vegetable, which led to poisoning.

Ingredients for potato pies:

  • milk – 150 ml;
  • paprika – tsp;
  • water – 150 ml;
  • garlic – 2 cloves;
  • sugar – tbsp;
  • vegetable oil – 30 ml;
  • salt – ½ tsp;
  • cheese – 100 g;
  • sour cream – 2 tbsp;
  • butter – 30 g;
  • yeast – 7 g;
  • onion – pcs;
  • flour – 600 g;
  • potatoes – 500 g.

Preparation of potato pies:

In warm milk add water of the same temperature, add sour cream, salt, granulated sugar and yeast.

After the formation of the yeast opara, sift the flour into the milk liquid. Knead a non-sticky and elastic dough by hand. Leave the dough lump in the heat under a towel for an hour.
