Casserole has long been a universal dish for a simple and hearty dinner. You can prepare a casserole from meat products, from cheese products or from vegetables. It all depends on what ingredients are in the refrigerator. The
simplicity and versatility of the dish

become the key factors in its relevance to this day.
Of the great variety of casseroles, you need to select the one that you like the most. As a rule, large families stick to the choice of meat casseroles. In Lent, cabbage or potato casseroles are prepared more often.
Let’s make our own casserole with minced meat and potatoes
.
Ingredients for meat casserole:
- Mozzarella cheese – 250 g;
- Potatoes – 3 pcs;
- Salt – ½ tsp;
- Ground beef – 450 g;
- Onion Shallot – 1 pc;
- Mushrooms – 200 g;
- Tomato puree – 200 ml;
- Dijon mustard – 1 tbsp;
- Garlic – 3 cloves.
Preparation of meat casserole:
Grease a baking tray with olive oil. Grate cheese and sprinkle it on the surface of the tray in an even layer.
Peel potatoes, cut into thin plates. Overlap the potato plates on the cheese layer.
Sprinkle the potato layer with salt, ground black pepper and drizzle with olive oil.
Bake the potatoes in the oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. Fry the mince in a frying pan over a medium heat for 7 minutes.
Dice the shallots. Fry the mince and onion for a couple of minutes. Cut mushrooms into thin slices, put them in the skillet with the mince and saute for 4 minutes.
Add tomato paste, Dijon mustard and salt to the mixture. Chop the garlic cloves finely, add to the mince, stir and fry for 5 minutes.
Place the mince on the potato layer on the baking tray

Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the minced potato layer. Bake the dish for 15 minutes in the oven.
As a result, we get a flavorful meat casserole.
The dish can be sprinkled with herbs as desired.
