Potatoes became a highly respected and marketable vegetable in the nineteenth century. The fact is that before that time potatoes were not really liked. People were dying from potatoes because they did not know how to eat them properly. Many peasants ate the white flowers and stems of potatoes, which are poisonous.
Only after a long introduction of potatoes to the masses, it was possible to explain to the common people how to eat potatoes properly.
After potatoes took root in vegetable gardens and on people’s tables, interesting dishes began to appear. The universal product went into soups, pies and salads.
Let’s prepare a few dishes from potatoes
Ingredients for potato focaccia:
- potatoes – 2 pcs;
- leeks – pcs;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- kefir – 200 ml;
- flour – 180 g;
- leavening agent – tsp;

- paprika – a pinch;
- green onions – a bunch.
Preparation of potato focaccia:

the dough on the bottom of the mold. Squeeze the potatoes from excess liquid, combine with the onions and place on the surface of the dough.
Bake the focaccia at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Grate cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle on top of the dish. Leave the focaccia in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Chop the onions finely and sprinkle them on top of the ready focaccia

- potatoes – 5 pcs;
- onion – pcs;
- garlic – 1 clove;
- zucchini – 2 pcs;
- bell pepper – ½ pcs.;
- Philadelphia cheese – 175 g;
- Parmesan – 30 g;
- egg – pcs;
- salt – ½ tsp.
Preparation of potato cake:
Grate the peeled potatoes on a coarse grater and squeeze out all the juice.
Grate also on a fine grater parmesan to the potatoes, salt and pepper, mix the components.
In a baking mold put parchment, grease with vegetable oil

Lay the potato mass on the bottom, distribute also on the sides.
Bake the potato frame in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. At this time, cut onions into small cubes, chop garlic finely
. Fry onions in a frying pan for a couple of minutes. Grate zucchini on a coarse grater, remove the stalks beforehand. Cut bell pepper into thin slices, clean it beforehand from the insides
. Put garlic, zucchini and pepper in the frying pan with onion, fry
