Potatoes are considered one of the most traded vegetables on our planet. This vegetable is purchased both by ordinary consumers and large companies on an industrial scale. For example, popular fast food chains buy potatoes constantly 100 tons.
Potatoes gained their popularity recently, in the XIX century. At the same time, now there are a lot of ways to cook it. We want to tell about one of the recipes for cooking potatoes.
Ingredients for baked potatoes:
- minced meat – 400 g;
- potatoes – 750 g;
- cheese – 100 g;
- sour cream – 80 g;
- onion – 1 pc;
- carrot – 1 pc;
- egg – 1 pc;
- tomato – 1 pc;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- Provencal herbs – 1 tsp.
Preparation of baked potatoes:
Peel the potatoes and cut into slices with a vegetable peeler. Salt the potatoes, add Provencal herbs, mix.
Grease a baking mold with vegetable oil. Lay out most of the potatoes and spread evenly on the surface so that the sides and bottom of the mold are covered.
Cut the tomato into small cubes, salt it and add sour cream, mix. Grate carrots on a fine grater and cheese on a coarse grater. Onion and garlic through a meat grinder
. Add egg, salt, pepper and minced onion and garlic. Mix well until homogeneous.
From the minced meat form balls the size of walnuts, put them on the potatoes. Make small depressions.
Put the rest of the potatoes as partitions between the balls.
Put tomatoes and sour cream in the hollows

Sprinkle the cutlets with grated carrots on top.
Cover the mold with foil. Send to the heated oven for 30-40 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius
. 10-15 minutes before the end of baking remove the foil and sprinkle the meat balls with grated cheese, finish baking.
This dish can be called a new alternative to our usual cutlets with potatoes. Such a serving will surprise you not only with its appetizing appearance, but also with its taste.
