Potatoes have become such a popular product that it is hard to imagine how one can live without this vegetable. However, up until the 18th century, potatoes were not known in our country.

Ingredients for potato pies:
- kefir – 250 ml;
- dill – 40 g;
- salt – tsp;
- onion – pcs;
- sugar – tbsp;
- boiled potatoes – 400 g;
- egg – pcs;
- leavening agent – tsp;
- flour – 400 g;
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
Preparation of potato pies:
In a bowl with kefir you need to break an egg, pour out salt and sugar, beat with a whisk. Pour vegetable oil into the mixture, sift flour mixed with baking powder. Knead elastic and not sticky dough, wrap it in cellophane and put it in the heat for 15 minutes.
At this time, cut small slices of onion, fry in a frying pan until golden. Turn potatoes into mashed potatoes, mix with fried onions and chopped dill. Do not forget to salt the stuffing to taste.
Divide the dough into about 14 parts, form small rolls. Roll each lump into a thin flatbread with a rolling
pin. Put the stuffing into each flatbread, seal the mashed potatoes in the dough, preferably in the shape of a triangle.
In a skillet with hot vegetable oil we need to fry the pierogi. On medium heat, bring the pies on both sides to a golden crust.
