Originally in our country, casserole was associated only with cottage cheese dish. In ovens, cottage cheese was usually baked together with various additional ingredients. Only in the XVIII century casserole began to improve.
Thanks to the experiments of French chefs, casserole became a dish of a large number of products. That is, fish, pork, beef, vegetables and even fruit were baked together. The
dish was easy to prepare. All that was required was to put the right amount of ingredients on the tray and send it to the oven.
We, too, want to prepare a casserole, using a budget list of products.
Ingredients for cabbage casserole:
- cabbage – 600 g;
- mozzarella cheese – 100 g;
- onion – pcs;
- oregano – tsp;
- carrots – 2 pcs;
- ground black pepper – ½ tsp;
- parsley – 2 sprigs;
- salt – tsp;
- eggs – 4 pcs;
- leavening agent – tsp;
- flour – 4 tbsp;
- olive oil – 2 tbsp;
- milk – 50 ml.
Preparation of cabbage casserole:
It is necessary to finely shred cabbage, transfer it to a separate bowl. Chop the peeled carrots on large grating cutters, lay them out to the cabbage.
Onions need to be cut into small cubes, combine with the rest of the vegetables. Shinkuem parsley, add to the mixture of onions, cabbage and carrots.

Pour oregano, ground black pepper, and salt into the egg mixture. Add milk and olive oil to the egg mixture.
Mix flour and baking powder and sift into the egg mixture. Beat the resulting liquid dough and pour it into the vegetable mixture, mixing thoroughly.
Cover a baking tray with parchment, lay the vegetable mixture on the surface and spread it evenly on the bottom. Bake the cabbage mass at 180 degrees for about half an hour.
At this time you can grate cheese finely, after cooking sprinkle the top of the casserole with it. Then we send the dish for 5 minutes in the oven, so that the cheese melts.
