Marinated chicken the grandfather’s way. All the guests asked for more and begged for the recipe

If you marinate chicken correctly, you can get a gorgeous dish. However, not everyone knows how to do it properly. Probably, this becomes the reason for too sour or dry chicken, which is difficult to eat.

In the Soviet Union, people often adopted the culinary experience of different nations. Therefore, in the books of the Soviet Union, you can find recipes from Georgian, Armenian, Tatar and other cuisines.

Especially impressive is how the southern peoples professionally marinate

meat. Let’s learn one of the ways of marinating chicken meat from the South.

Ingredients for marinating chicken:

  • chicken fillet – 1.5 kg;
  • tomato paste – a tbsp;
  • kefir – 150 ml;
  • soy sauce – 50 ml;
  • salt – 1.5 tsp;
  • honey – tsp;
  • garlic – 3 cloves.

Preparation of chicken in the marinade:

Cut the fillet into small pieces and sprinkle with salt. You can take a whole chicken for this recipe and divide it into separate parts for marinating.

Mix the meat with salt, pour kefir and cover tightly with a lid and start shaking.

Marinate the chicken meat for 40 minutes. Next, heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry the chicken on both sides for 4 minutes each. It is important to fill the entire bottom of the pan with meat.

Chop garlic finely, send it to the pan with the chicken. Under the lid, stew all the meat for 1.5 minutes. Then pour soy sauce, tomato paste and honey to the chicken fillet

. Stir the chicken, cover with a lid and stew on a fire just below medium for about 10 minutes. Stir the chicken in the skillet again, leave to stew under the lid for 5 minutes.
