Sweet pastries were a luxury for many people until the middle of the 20th century. The fact is that only wealthy people could afford cakes and pastries. The desserts were created by confectioners who developed their own creams and biscuits.
Only in 1950 cakes began to be produced in confectionery factories. The cost of desserts decreased, which affected the demand of ordinary people.
Many housewives began to repeat cake recipes at home. For example, there was a recipe for Masha cake.
Ingredients for Masha cake:
- condensed milk – 300 g;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- leavening agent – tsp;
- salt – a pinch;
- butter – 100 g;
- flour – 140 g.
Ingredients for the cream:
- 25% sour cream – 400 g;
- boiled condensed milk – 3 tbsp;
- cocoa – tbsp.
Preparation of Masha cake:
