There are now more than 150,000 types of salads in the world. Each country has its own special salad, which is known beyond the borders of the state. For example, in Russia it is “Herring under a fur coat”, in Italy Caprese, in the U.S. “Caesar”. The
history of salad began in ancient Greece. Then to keep in shape before the Olympic Games, athletes ate salads based on greens, onions and salt. Gradually, the dish began to develop, more ingredients were added to it.
In the Middle Ages, salads could disappear from culinary history altogether

The fact is that not everyone could eat washed boiled vegetables. Therefore, most people tried not to eat vegetables at all to avoid stomach diseases.
Nowadays, salads are part of the holiday culture. There are appetizer salads at any event. Let’s talk about one of the appetizer salads – “Masherovsky”.
Ingredients:
- marinated mushrooms – 200 g;
- boiled chicken breast – 200 g;
- boiled eggs – 3 pcs;
- onion – 2 pcs;
- carrots – 2 pcs;
- pickled cucumbers – 2 pcs;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- salt;
- mayonnaise – 2 tbsp.
Preparation of salad “Masherovsky”:
Cut small cubes of chicken meat, finely chop onion and carrots. In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry onions and carrots until soft.
Mix onions and carrots with chicken in a salad bowl. Cut marinated mushrooms in quarters, dice hard-boiled eggs, put them in the salad.
Cut pickled cucumbers finely, put them in the salad
.
Press garlic cloves through the press, put in the salad.

Dress the salad with mayonnaise, salt and mix thoroughly.

You get a simple tasty salad “Masherovsky”.
