Since ancient times, a big cake has gathered the whole family around it. And it was not only a couple of mother, father and son. Often pies became the center of a big family celebration.
For example, pies were baked for a wedding, for the birth of a child. Even funerals had their own pie. As a rule, cabbage pies were baked for funerals.
For adults and children, pies were associated with a certain moment in life. Probably for this reason, the root of the word pie is feast.
Nowadays, baking is not so reverent. This is good, since you can cook baked goods without an occasion.
Let’s prepare a simple pie on kefir for breakfast.
Ingredients for a pie on kefir:
- Eggs – 2 pcs;
- Kefir – 250 ml;
- Salt – 0.5 tsp;
- Sugar – tbsp;
- Cheese – 100 g;
- Sausage – 100 g;
- Flour – 450 g;
- Leavening agent – 10 g;
- Parsley – 10 g.
Preparation of the pie on kefir:
Break eggs into a deep bowl, pour salt and granulated sugar, whisk until the grains of sand dissolve. Add kefir to the egg
mixture
, stir.
Shinkle parsley finely, pour it into the mixture of kefir and eggs. Grate cheese and sausage on a coarse grater and add to the mixture.
Pour flour and baking powder into the mixture and knead a homogeneous dough. Sprinkle the surface of the table with flour, knead the lump with your hands.
Sprinkle the top of the kolobok with flour, roll it out with a rolling pin into a large thick layer with a diameter equal to the bottom of the pan. Divide the large round layer into 8 slices like a pizza.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and place the pieces on the surface. Fry each piece until golden on both sides over medium heat.
These are very simple breakfast pies.
