. Nowadays, kurnik is prepared without a reason. This pie is considered ordinary. Probably the reason is that now it is not so problematic to buy chicken meat. Let’s prepare a kurnik at home.
Ingredients for kurnik:
- kefir – 300 ml;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- sugar – ½ tsp;
- vegetable oil – 70 ml;
- leavening agent – 1 tsp;
- flour – 220 g.
Ingredients for the filling:
- chicken fillet from thighs – 300 g;
- potatoes – 2 pcs;
- onion – 1 pc;
- salt – ½ tsp.
Preparation of kurnik:
In a bowl with kefir, break eggs, pour salt and sugar, pour vegetable oil and mix thoroughly.
Sift flour and baking powder into the mixture, knead a slightly thick dough.
Cut small pieces of chicken fillet, chop onions

Grate peeled potatoes on a coarse grater, mix with meat and onions, salt.
Put ½ of the dough in a baking mold and
bake for 5 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius

Put the filling on the dough and fill with the rest of the still thick dough.
Bake the kurnik at 200 degrees for 40 minutes.
