Moldavian bagels are a type of home baking that originated in Moldavia around the 20th century. As a rule, this type of pastry was prepared by hostesses for festive events, fairs and family feasts. The advantage of bagels is that they are prepared as simply as possible, while getting sweet and flavorful.
The dough for bagels does not require a large number of components, and the filling can be changed depending on the preferences of the family.
One of the most popular fillings for bagels is cherry. It makes the dough more soaked and sweet. Berry juice perfectly combines with sour cream dough, creating a special delicate flavor of baked goods.
For the filling, both frozen and fresh cherries are suitable. It happens that cherries are used instead of cherries for the recipe.
