Sweet cakes have always adorned the festive tables of both nobles and simple peasants. The fact is that in ancient times, no one knew about the preparation of cakes. Cream and biscuits were invented only in the XVII century. Until then, everyone baked cakes made of fruits and berries. Such pastries accompanied many feasts and were considered a festive food.

Ingredients for strawberry pie:
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- sugar – 100 g;
- milk – 100 ml;
- vegetable oil – 100 ml;
- flour – 200 g;
- vanilla sugar – 8 g;
- leavening agent – 10 g;
- strawberries – 150 g.
Ingredients for sprinkles:
- flour – 2 tbsp;
- sugar – 2 tbsp;
- butter – 30 g.
Preparation of strawberry pie:
Break eggs into a bowl, pour granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, pour in vegetable oil and milk. Beat the components with a mixer until the formation of a white lush mass.
Combine flour and baking powder, sift the loose components into the egg mass, knead a thick dough. Take strawberries and divide each berry in half.
You can use frozen or canned strawberries.
For sprinkles mix flour with sugar, rub butter there through a grater. Hand rub the components into crumbs.
Cover the baking mold with parchment, pour the dough on the bottom.
Place strawberries cut side down on top of the pie.
