The most popular type of pie in the world is meat pie. The fact is that, according to historical accounts, people first learned to bake meat in dough, only then began to put vegetables and fruits in baked goods.

This assumption is probably due to the fact that people tried to keep meat edible for as long as possible. It was believed that bread could prevent other foods from spoiling. In addition, meat in dough was more nourishing than a regular steak or cutlet.

Let’s tell you how to prepare a modern fast meat pie.

Ingredients for meat pie:

  • Vegetable oil – 30 ml;
  • Onion – pcs;
  • Stuffing – 300 g;
  • Salt – a pinch;
  • Kefir – 300 ml;
  • Eggs – 3 pcs;
  • Flour – 140 g;
  • Leavening agent – tsp.

Preparation of meat pie:

Cut a small diced onion, fry in a frying pan, in hot vegetable oil. When the onion is browned, you need to put to it minced meat, mix. Stuffing

from minced meat and onions salt to taste, cover with a lid and stew over low heat for 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl mix kefir, eggs and flour, combined with

powder.

Cover the baking mold with parchment, ⅔ of the kneaded dough lay on the bottom. Spread the dough evenly over the surface, and place a layer of meat filling on it.

Cover the meat layer with the rest of the dough. Bake the pie in the oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.

If desired, you can sprinkle the pie with sesame seeds before baking. The dough and filling are ready for baking in 10-15 minutes.
