Soup is an ancient dish that came to us from long ago ancestors. We can say that soups were a huge revolution for mankind in terms of dishes. Previously, meat was only fried, and without vegetables and roots. It was tasty, but not nourishing and not practical if you need to feed a large family.
After meat learned to boil in the company of vegetables and roots, it began to acquire new flavors. Ancient people liked this experiment. Probably, therefore, now we have a lot of delicious soups, both hot and cold.
Let’s talk about how to prepare a simple chicken broth

Ingredients for chicken soup:
- Onion – 1 pc;
- Carrots – 1 pc;
- Potatoes – 4 pcs;
- Chicken broth – 2 liters;
- Salt – 1 tsp;
- Egg – 1 pc;
- Flour – 150 g.
Preparation of chicken soup:
Chop finely onions, rub carrots on large grating cutters. Fry onions and carrots for a couple of minutes at the bottom of the pot.
Peel potatoes and cut into small cubes. Put the potatoes with the soft vegetables in the pot.
Pour the broth to the vegetables and cook until boiling. Then cook the soup for 10-15 minutes under a lid
. In a separate bowl, mix flour and egg to create dumplings. Put the dumplings into the soup and simmer for another 3 minutes.
You can also add herbs to the soup after cooking – dill and green onions. Don’t forget to let the soup stand in the pot for 5 minutes.
