We make pies often, using mostly typical classic fillings. Pies are baked either with meat, cabbage or potatoes. However, at one point all these fillings can get boring. What to do in this case?
Many will say that you can cook pies with egg or apple, fruit and other. It is worth experimenting with baking and cooking something new.
If you have not previously tried pies with pumpkin filling – then it is worth trying to cook them.
Pumpkin pie dough ingredients:
- water – 70 ml;
- dry yeast – 6 g;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- salt – 2/3 tsp;
- sugar – 50 g;
- flour – 300 g;
- butter – 30 g.
Ingredients for stuffing:
- pumpkin – 600 g;
- butter – 20 g;
- sugar – 5 tbsp;
- orange zest.
Preparation of pumpkin pies:
In a bowl with warm water, pour yeast and let them activate. In a separate bowl break eggs, pour salt and granulated sugar, beat with a whisk until the grains of sand dissolve
. Pour after 5 minutes active yeast, stir. Sift flour into the egg mixture and knead the dough. Mix butter into the dough, continue kneading on the table.
Sprinkle flour
on the
table, knead until the dough is no longer sticky. Grease the dough with vegetable oil, also the bowl
. Put the dough in the bowl, cover with cling film and leave it for an hour to rise.
Peel the pumpkin from the insides, peel and cut into small cubes.
Melt butter in a frying pan, put the pumpkin. Mix pumpkin with lemon zest and sugar. Evaporate excess liquid from the skillet, soften pumpkin.
Divide the dough into 10 pieces and form each piece into a dough ball. Leave the koloboks under food foil for 10-15 minutes.
Knead the rolls into tortillas, where we put the pumpkin mass.
Seal the filling inside the dough. Place the patties on a parchment-lined baking tray, seam side down. Leave the pies under a towel for 10 minutes. Brush
the surface of the pastry with a mixture of egg yolk and a spoonful of milk.
Bake the pies at 190 degrees for 13-15 minutes in the oven.
Flavorful sweet pumpkin pies are obtained. Such baked goods can be stored for several days and still remain fresh and soft.
