Flatbreads are one of the simplest types of baked goods. They are prepared from a small amount of products. Often even ingredients such as milk and yeast are not used to prepare flatbread. Flatbreads
can be used with many fillings. If it used to be considered that flatbread is a separate dish, now it is quite compatible with meat, fish and vegetables. It
is worth telling more about how to cook flatbread with meat filling.
Ingredients for tortillas with meat filling:
- kefir – 300 ml;
- baking soda – tsp;
- salt – tsp;
- flour – 420 g;
- meat – 400 g;
- onion – 2 pcs;
- butter – 30 g;
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- broth – 200 ml;
- cilantro – bundle;
- salt – a pinch.
Preparation of tortillas with meat stuffing:
In a bowl with kefir pour salt and baking soda, beat with a whisk until the loose components dissolve. Sift flour into the kefir, knead the elastic dough first with a spatula, then by hand on the table.
Grease the block with vegetable oil, put it in a cellophane bag and leave it warm. So far you need to chop finely onions, fry in a frying pan with butter.
Boiled meat pass through a meat grinder, mix with fried golden onions and chopped cilantro
. Salt the filling, gradually pour in broth, mix thoroughly

Knead the dough, roll it into a small bundle, divide it into 7 pieces.
Cover the formed lumps with cellophane, roll each with a rolling pin into a 3 mm thick flatbread
. Place a couple of tablespoons of stuffing on a part of the flatbread. Cover the filling with the second part of the dough, smearing the free edge with water for better adhesion of the dough.
You can go over the edge of the seam of the flatbread with a fork, pressing the tines lightly on the dough. In a dry frying pan, fry the tortillas on both sides over medium heat until browned.
It is recommended to brush the tortillas with melted butter after cooking.
The resulting tortillas are flavorful, slightly similar to chebureks.
