Basically, when cooking fish products, much attention is paid to species with red meat. People are accustomed to consider such fish more elite, useful and tasty.
But, as studies show, red and white fish are the same in the ratio of important micro and macronutrients. And sometimes river fish can be healthier than sea fish. It all depends on the type of fish.

Ingredients for stewed pollock:
- pollock – 2 pcs;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- spices for fish – ¼ tsp;
- flour – 4 tbsp;
- vegetable oil – 8 tablespoons;
- onion – 100 g;
- carrots – 80 g;
- tomato paste – 2 tbsp;
- water – 200 ml;
- sour cream – 2 tablespoons;
- sugar – tsp;
- bay leaf – pcs.
Cooking stewed pollock:
Clean the fish from the insides, gills, fins, head and tail. Cut pollock into small pieces, salt and add spices
. Rub the spices into the meat, cover the fish with foil and leave to marinate in the heat for 10 minutes. At this time, prepare a plate with flour, heat vegetable oil (4 tbsp.) in a frying pan.
Dip the fish in flour, lay it on the frying pan. Fry pollock on both sides until golden crust.
Place the fried pollock on a plate. Heat vegetable oil in the frying pan again, fry onions cut into small cubes until transparent.
While the onions are frying, you can grate finely peeled carrots

Add the carrots to the onions, cook the vegetables for a couple of minutes on medium heat. In a bowl you need to dissolve tomato paste in water, pour it into the pan with the vegetable mixture, stir. Stew the sauce for fish for a couple of minutes.
In water (200 ml) also dissolve sour cream, pour into the vegetable mixture, stir. Pour into the sauce sugar, salt to taste, lay out the bay leaf. Put
the fish in the sauce, cover the vegetable mass pieces. Cook pollock in this way for 20 minutes. Then cover the fish with a lid, stew for an additional 7 minutes.
After that, you need to turn the fish on the other side, similarly stew for 7 minutes.
The way of cooking juicy pollock is very long, but this recipe turns out delicious. This dish does not require garnish and other additions to the table.
