But, Germans also pay attention to the preparation of salads. Their salads are similar to ours. For comparison, it is worth preparing a salad “Old Munich”.
Ingredients for the salad:
- semi-smoked sausage – 350 g;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- cheese – 200 g;
- mustard – tsp;
- red onion – 3 pcs;
- apple cider vinegar – tbsp;
- pickled cucumbers – 4 pcs;
- sour cream – 4 tablespoons;
- green onions – 100 g;
- mayonnaise – 4 tbsp;
- dill – a bunch.
Preparation of the salad:
Sausage should be cut into small thin bars, and cheese – a small cube. Cut red onions in half rings, and green onions and dill are chopped.
Cucumbers as well as sausage should be cut into thin bars.
In a separate bowl put mayonnaise and sour cream, mix with mustard

Pour apple cider vinegar into the sauce, salt and mix thoroughly. To taste, you can add ground black pepper to the sauce.
Sausage, cheese, green and red onions, dill and cucumbers should be combined in one bowl. Fill the ingredients with sauce and mix well.
To soak the salad in the sauce, we recommend to put it in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes. As a result, you will have a German salad from products that, as a rule, you always have at home.
