Potato flatbreads are a simple and hearty dish that quickly became relevant. They were prepared from raw or boiled potatoes, with the addition of flour, eggs and various spices. Different countries and regions have their own peculiarities of cooking potato tortillas. Flatbreads can be both an independent dish and the basis for other dishes, such as pies and vatrushki.
Ingredients:
- Eggs – 2 pcs;
- Milk – 250 ml;
- Onion – 1 pc;
- Flour – 100 g;
- Leavening agent – 1/3 tsp;
- Potatoes – 210 g;
- Salt – 1/2 tsp;
- Dill – a couple of sprigs;
- Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp.
Preparation of potato flatbread:
In a bowl with eggs pour salt, pour in milk and stir. Sift flour and baking powder into the mixture and knead a liquid

Chop dill, grate onion and peeled potatoes

Put the onion, dill and potatoes into the dough, stir.
Grease a frying pan with vegetable oil, use a ladle to spread the dough on the surface.
Spread the batter on the bottom of the pan, fry until browned on both sides.
You get a simple potato flatbread. You can wrap any filling in it, a great breakfast option.
