A flatbread is a simple dough product that is suitable for a large number of dishes. For example, tortillas can be served with soups, wrapped with vegetables and meat. These are just a small part of the ways in which tortillas can be used.
Different cultures have their own specialty flatbreads. In India, they make multi-layered crispy flatbreads called paratha. Cheeses, potatoes, spinach, and other ingredients are wrapped in them. In

Ingredients:
- Flour – 150 g;
- Water – 300 ml;
- Salt – a pinch.
Preparation of tortillas:
Pour water into a pan and bring to a boil. Pour salt into the flour, mix and add to the boiling
water. Stir the flour with the water, cook for about a couple of minutes. Gather the dough into a homogeneous lump, place it in a separate bowl,
sprinkle the lump with flour and knead the elastic, not sticky dough for 8-10 minutes. Leave the dough under cellophane for 10 minutes.
Divide the dough into two parts, each part into 4 more parts. Shape each piece of dough into balls. Roll out each dough piece into a thin layer according to the diameter of the pan.

Pour vegetable oil into the pan so that it completely covers the bottom. Place a thin layer on the surface and fry on each side for a minute.
You can press the flatbread with a spatula to help it fry better.

These flatbreads are perfect with tea, soup or meat dishes.
