The history of crab sticks began in Japan in the 1970s. Initially, they were created as a cheap alternative to crab meat, which was an expensive and rare product. The
first crab sticks were made from surimi – minced meat obtained from white fish meat (pollock, hake, whiting). The minced meat was washed, squeezed, formed into bars or strips and frozen
. Then these strips were fried, spices and flavorings were added to give them the taste of crab. Crab
sticks appeared in the USSR in the late 1980s
.
They quickly gained popularity due to their availability and ease of use. Let’s prepare from crab sticks a simple appetizer for breakfast.
Ingredients:
- Eggs – 3 pcs;
- Crab sticks – 250 g;
