Zrazy was first created in Lithuania during the Middle Ages. Lithuanian zrazy was made from products that were left in the kitchen, which
is what the old Lithuanian name reflected
.
The dish got its modern name in Poland.

Ingredients for zrazy:
- Potatoes – 1.3 kg;
- Onion – 1 piece;
- Carrots – 0,5 pieces
- Vegetable oil – 240 ml;
- Stuffing – 350 g;
- Egg – 4 pieces;
- Salt, pepper – to taste;
- Parsley – 40 g;
- Flour – 4 tbsp.
Preparation of zrazas:
Boil potatoes and 3 eggs until ready. Mashed potato the peeled potatoes with a masher, let the mashed potatoes cool down.
Cut the onion into small cubes, and grate the carrots. In a heated frying pan with vegetable oil send onions and carrots to fry until golden color.
Then add minced meat to the vegetables and mix the ingredients thoroughly

Add salt, ground black pepper and finely diced eggs to the meat. Fry the mixture for 2 minutes and let it cool down.
Add the egg, chopped parsley, flour and salt to the potatoes and mix well.
Place a tablespoon of this mixture on a board sprinkled with flour and form a thin flatbread. In the center put the stuffing and pinch the edges, which are then smoothed. Do the same with the rest of the tortillas.
Put the tortillas on a pan with boiling oil and fry on both sides until golden crust.
Zrazy perfectly replaces the usual serving of most people in the form of a cutlet with a side dish of potatoes.
