Cookies “Nuts” is a delicacy that got its name due to its characteristic shape resembling a nut. This cookie first became popular in the Soviet Union and is still a favorite dessert for many. It is often prepared for holidays, and also used as a sweet treat for tea.
Cookies “Nuts” are prepared in special molds, which are halves similar to the shell of a nut. After baking, the halves are often filled with various fillings: condensed milk, nuts, jam or chocolate.
However, you can avoid using special molds to create beautiful cookies.

Cooking cookies “Nuts”:
Combine the egg with vegetable oil, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and salt, mix thoroughly until homogeneous. Add soft butter to the mixture and mix again.
Sift flour and baking powder into the mixture in batches, knead a soft, elastic and not sticky dough. Shape the dough into small balls and
leave the balls in the refrigerator under cellophane for 10-15 minutes. Then divide each ball in two and taper one edge.
Place the halves on a baking tray lined with parchment, with the convex side up. Use a skewer to make a small depression along each oval of the ball.
Also use the skewer to make grooves on the surface of the dough, cover with cling film and leave in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
Then bake the cookies at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
Then put boiled condensed milk on half of the cookies, cover with the second part of the cookie.
You get a simple cookie “Peanut” with boiled condensed milk. Cookies made of crumbly, tender dough can also be combined with chocolate paste, frosting and other fillings.
