Perfect vinaigrette: a neighbor taught me how to make it in a new way, but with a classic dressing. Now it’s my favorite recipe

Vinaigrette is a great winter salad that saturates with vitamins during the cold season. Moreover, with its positive properties, vinaigrette has delighted since ancient times. The fact is that vinaigrette served even the Empress Catherine the Great. True, then the empress did not really appreciate the dish.

There is an assumption that vinaigrette came from the words “Fi, not greto”. These words were uttered by Catherine when she was offered a salad. In her understanding, vinaigrette should have been warm.

Let’s prepare a modern delicious vinaigrette.

Ingredients for vinaigrette:

  • potatoes;
  • beets;
  • carrots;
  • onions;
  • beans;
  • pickled cucumbers;
  • sauerkraut;
  • unrefined vegetable oil – 4 tbsp;
  • vinegar – tsp;
  • mustard – tsp;
  • sugar – tsp;
  • salt – ½ tsp.

Preparing the vinaigrette:

For the sauce, mix in unrefined oil with vinegar, whisk thoroughly. Pour mustard, sugar and salt into the sauce.

Boil the potatoes in a jacket, as well as the rest of the vegetables – carrots and beets.

If you cook potatoes in peeled form, so that the beet juice does not color it, it is worth cutting it into cubes beforehand

You can also add lemon juice or oil to the potatoes

. Beets and carrots can be diced in the same way. Dice the onions and cucumbers, boil the beans and remove the brine from the sauerkraut.
