Cookies are not the last place in the list of popular baked goods among both young and old generations. Nowadays it is hard to say how many types of cookies there are on the planet.
Every day confectioners come up with new recipes for this sweet pastry. Many ideas remain local, within one country. Some break out of the state and become bestsellers around the world.
It is worth telling about one of the most popular types of cookies and how to prepare them yourself.
Ingredients for “Pavlovskiy” cookies:
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- sugar – 180 g;
- butter – 150 g;
- fresh yeast – 20 g;
- flour – 370 g;
- salt – a pinch;
- vanillin – a pinch;
- milk – 60 ml.
Preparation of “Pavlovskiy” cookies:
In a bowl with warm milk pour half a tablespoon of sugar and flour, stir. In the milk mixture pour yeast, stir and leave the mass.
In a separate bowl combine 30 grams of sugar, butter, salt and vanillin

Beat the components with a mixer until a white creamy mass is formed.
Break eggs into the resulting creamy mass, beat with a mixer until homogeneous. Pour the yeast into the cream
mixture
, mix again.
Sift the flour into the mixture, knead first with a spatula and then with your hands to form an elastic lump of dough. Put the lump in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough into a rectangular layer no more than 4 mm thick.
Sprinkle
⅙ part of sugar on a part of the
dough. Cover the sugar part of the dough with the second half.
Sprinkle sugar again on a part of the rectangle and cover with the second part. Roll out the layer to the same size and thickness of 4 mm. Repeat the same actions with sugar two times.
Roll out the dough into a rectangular layer with a thickness of cm, sprinkle with the rest of the sugar.
Line the edges of the dough and cut it into small squares.
Transfer the future cookies to a baking tray lined with parchment.
Bake the cookies in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
The result is sugar puff cookies. This is a good substitute for store-bought cookies with a questionable composition.
