Pickled onions are considered a special treat. At the same time, it is not always possible to cook a kebab in nature. But you want to eat at least pickled onions. Then it is worth preparing onions in a marinade at home.
Ingredients for pickled onions:
- onions – 2 pcs;
- ground black pepper – a pinch;
- dill – a bunch;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- 9% vinegar – 5 tbsp. tbsp;
- sugar – 2 tbsp;
- water – 800 ml.
Preparation of pickled onions:
Onions need to be cut into thin semicircles, chop finely dill.
Combine dill and onions, pour water into the pot. Pour salt, sugar and vinegar into the water, mix the components until the grains of sand dissolve
. Pour the water into the onion mixture, sprinkle with ground black pepper and leave to marinate for half an hour. After the onions have finished marinating, it is necessary to drain the water.
If you want to make the pickled onions more sour, you should add more than 5 spoons of vinegar to the water.
This is a great addition to many meat dishes besides kebabs.
