Walnut pies began to be cooked quite a long time ago. This is one of the favorite desserts in European countries. Many baked goods with hazelnuts, peanuts, cashews are known, but
walnuts
are more popular.

Ingredients for the dough:
- butter – 180 g;
- sour cream – 200 g;
- leavening agent – 1 tsp;
- salt – a pinch;
- vanillin – 1/2 tsp;
- flour – 300 g.
Ingredients for the filling:
- walnuts – 150 g;
- sugar – 180 g;
- egg – pcs;
- cinnamon – 1/2 tsp.
Preparation of walnut pie:
In a bowl, mix soft butter with sour cream, vanilla, salt, flour and baking powder.
Knead a soft and elastic dough and leave it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes. Grind walnuts in a blender for the filling.
Mix walnuts with sugar, cinnamon and egg. A tablespoon of walnut crumbs should be set aside in advance for sprinkling the pie.
Divide the dough into two parts – one larger than the other. Form the longer part into a flatbread, slightly larger in diameter than the baking tray
. Cover the baking tray with parchment and lay out the flatbread. Spread the walnut filling on the bottom of the dough, spread it on the surface.
Roll out the smaller part of the dough into a cake equal to the diameter of the baking tray. Place the layer on top of the filling, sealing the edges of the bottom and top layers.
Sprinkle the pie with nuts, make a small cross cut in the middle.
Bake the pie at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
After cooking, the pie can be sprinkled with powdered sugar. You get a fragrant walnut pie for tea.
