Chebureks are still one of the most popular pies in our country. Cheburekshops can be seen in every city. A characteristic feature of these establishments is their location. As a rule, we can see chebureks at train stations.
Chebureks came to the gastronomic culture of our country quite a long time ago. It is known that people learned about the pies of the Crimean Tatars in the XVIII century. However, the dish gained great popularity only in the XX century.
It is noteworthy that in Central Asia chebureks were cooked with vegetable stuffing. Adding meat to the pies became an innovation associated with the movement of chebureks to the central part of the country.
Chebureks can be prepared at home from a small amount of products.
Ingredients for chebureks:
- vegetable oil – 90 ml;
- boiling water – 300 ml;
- onion – pcs;
- salt – 1.5 tsp;
- minced meat – 350 g;
- flour – 450 g;
- mushrooms – 250 g.
Preparation of chebureks:
Cut a small diced onion, small bars of peeled mushrooms. In a frying pan fry the onion in 50 ml of vegetable oil.
Add minced meat to the onion, fry the components until the color changes. Integrate the mushrooms into the meat mass, mix. Pour half a teaspoon of salt into the stuffing, cook until the liquid evaporates from the mushrooms.
Add salt to the flour, pour vegetable oil and boiling water, knead the dough with a spatula

Shape the dough with your hands and leave it warm under a foil for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into 20 small rolls, roll them out into small round cakes. Put the filling in each flatbread halfway around the circumference and cover with another half-circle. Seal the open edge of the prepared cheburek.
In a frying pan in hot oil fry the chebureks until golden on both sides.
Don’t forget to use a paper towel to remove excess fat from the baked goods.
After a couple of minutes of cooling, you can enjoy delicious homemade chebureks.
