Potato zrazy is one of the most ingenious and incredibly simple dishes that even a novice cook can prepare. Potato zrazas require a minimum of ingredients, and the most budgetary ones.
Where did potato zrazas come from? Many people know that zrazy are similar to draaniki. Draniki in turn is a dish of Belarusian cuisine. Zrazy appeared in Poland.
There is an assumption that Belarusian draaniki appeared because of zrazy. The Belarusians adopted the recipe and slightly modernized it.
Let’s tell you how to cook potato zrazy.
Ingredients for potato zrazy:
- potatoes – 3 pcs;
- egg – 2 pcs;
- flour – 3 tbsp;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- black pepper – a pinch;
- dill – a bunch;
- mozzarella cheese.
Preparation of potato cakes:
Boil potatoes until ready, peel and grate on a fine grater. Add eggs, flour, salt and pepper to the potato mass, mix thoroughly
. Shinkuem finely dill, pour to the mass and mix again

Cut cheese into small pieces. With wet hands form flat cakes from the dough, where we put the cheese and seal it inside.
In a frying pan on melted butter fry the zrazy on both sides for 3-4 minutes.
Then, on low heat stew the zrazy under a lid for 12 minutes.
You can also stew the zrazy in the oven at 170 degrees for 12 minutes. You will get flavorful and tasty zrazy with cheese filling.
