Apple pie is the most recognizable type of pastry in Europe and America. This popularity came from the east, moving gradually to our and European countries. Gradually, settlers brought the pie recipe to America. In times of famine and winters, families of new Americans were saved by the pie made of dried apples. That is why the cult of apple pies is still so great in the U.S.
However, not only Americans have a great love for apple pies. In our country, peasants prepared such pastries as a dessert, because most people did not have money for cakes.
We want to show how to prepare a modern apple pie without baking in the oven.
Ingredients for apple pie:
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- sugar – 4 tbsp;
- salt – a pinch;
- sour cream – 3 tbsp;
- vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
- flour – 160 g;
- leavening agent – 10 g;
- apples – 400 g;
- butter – 10 g.
Preparation of apple pie:
In a bowl, mix eggs with salt and sugar, beat until the grains of sand dissolve.
Add sour cream and vegetable oil to the egg mixture, stir.
Flour is combined with leavening agent, sift into the egg mixture, knead a thick dough

Cut the apples into small cubes, remove the seed pods
, put the apples in the dough, mix. Grease a frying pan with butter and place the dough on the bottom. The pan is 26 cm in diameter.
Bake the pie for 25 minutes on a low-medium heat under a lid, wipe off the condensation from the lid. Place parchment on top of the pie, flat plate. Turn the pie over and bake the second side in the skillet under the lid.
Bake the second side of the pie under the lid for 10 minutes.
The result is a soft apple pie. It is recommended to sprinkle it with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
