Baking has become an integral part of human life. Every country has its own ways of making pies. For example, in Finland, fish makes up a large share of the production. Accordingly, the people bake pies with fish filling.

In this state, people invented onion pie. It is a pastry, with a filling consisting entirely of onions.
In India, pies are treated reverently. They prepare vegetable pies more often than meat pies. They add a lot of spices to such pies, including chili pepper and curry.
All homemade pies, as a rule, are simple. So their preparation does not take cooks a lot of time. Let’s prepare one of the simple hearty pies.
Ingredients for sweet pie:
- eggs – 3 pcs;
- sugar – 150 g;
- vanilla sugar – 10 g;
- salt – a pinch;
- butter – 120 g;
- milk – 150 g;
- flour – 250 g.
- leavening agent – 10 g;
- apricot jam.
Preparation of sweet pie:
Break eggs into a bowl, pour granulated sugar, vanilla sugar and salt, beat with a mixer until the grains of sand are dissolved. In a separate bowl mix butter and milk, melt in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
Pour the butter milk into the egg mixture, stir. Sift the flour and baking powder into the egg mixture in batches and
knead
into
a thick dough with a whisk
. Pour the dough into an 18×28 cm mold and smooth the surface.
On top of the dough create a pattern of apricot jam.
Bake the pie at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
After baking, let the pie cool in the mold and then transfer to a flat plate.
For beauty you can sprinkle the pie with powdered sugar.
