Pies are universal, they can be cooked with meat, fish, potatoes and fruit. Few places you can find such a diverse range of fillings in a dish. At the same time, the preparation of this type of baked goods is simple, you only need to knead the dough and make the filling. It
is not necessary to have an oven or stove for cooking.

are easily fried in oil in a frying pan. In
addition to the CIS countries, pies are known all over the world. They are cooked even in African countries and in the countries of South America. So, by the way, potato pies or yam pies are quite popular.
Let’s prepare simple lazy potato pies at home.
Ingredients for potato pies:
- potatoes – 400 g;
- potato broth – 250 ml;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- sugar – 1 tbsp;
- dry yeast – 10 g;
- egg – 1 pc;
- vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
- flour – 550 g.
Preparation of potato pies:
Boil the peeled potatoes until ready, turn them into mashed potatoes. Pour salt and sugar to the mashed potatoes, pour in vegetable oil, mix and pour potato broth.

Pour yeast into the mixture, mix with mashed potatoes. Add flour to the mashed potatoes and knead the dough for the patties. Knead
the dough first in a bowl and then on a table dusted with flour. Leave the dough in the bowl under the lid for an hour at room temperature.
Knead the dough again and divide it into 60 grams each – about 18 pieces. Make small tortillas from the koloboks, poke a hole in the middle.
In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the patties over medium heat for 1.5 minutes on each side.
By the way, you can cook the patties with live yeast, you will need 20 grams of it.
The pies turn out soft and puffy, they are served both for tea and as bread for soups.
