Kolduns is a dish made of potatoes and minced meat. It is considered to be related to dumplings, ravioli and dumplings. This dish appeared in the XIII century on the territory of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It is believed that this recipe was brought by the Belarusian-Lithuanian Tatars, who lived on this territory for several centuries.

After a long time, this recipe has not lost its relevance, it is still being prepared. The recipe, which we will tell you about, will show you how to cook kolduns correctly.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • Potatoes – 4 pieces;
  • Egg – 3 pieces;
  • Flour – 2 tbsp;
  • Salt, black ground pepper – to taste;
  • Butter – 60 g.

Ingredients for stuffing:

  • Stuffing – 500 g;
  • Onions – 2 pieces;
  • Salt, ground black pepper, paprika, coriander – 1 tsp;
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.

Preparation of kolduns:

Peeled from the skin potatoes, grate them on a coarse grater. Pour water over the potato mass and leave it for 15 minutes.

Add finely chopped onion and spices, chopped garlic to the minced meat. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, divide the minced meat into 6 parts.

Pour the water out of the bowl with potatoes, squeeze the mixture. Add eggs, flour, salt and ground black pepper to the potato mass, mix thoroughly.

On a frying pan greased with vegetable oil, put a tablespoon of potato mixture, distribute an even layer.
