The history of pancakes dates back more than 1000 years, as this dish is one of the simplest in the world. It is prepared with a minimum of products, but it can feed a large family at breakfast. Pancakes
exist in almost all countries of the world. For example, in France, they are called galettes. These are thin fritters made of buckwheat flour with ham, cheese and jam. In India, fritters are called dosa, which are rice flour fritters served with curry
. Even Arab countries have their own fritters – atayef. They are made of thin semolina dough and served sweet, that is, with honey, dried fruits or nuts.
Let’s tell you how to make classic fritters, similar to the Arabian ones

Ingredients:
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- yogurt – 250 g;
- sugar – 2 tbsp;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- leavening agent – 1 tsp;
- semolina – 250 g.
Preparation of fritters:
Break eggs in a bowl, pour yogurt and mix thoroughly. Pour salt and sugar into the mixture, add semolina and baking powder, mix and thoroughly beat the mass with an immersion blender for 5 minutes.
Transfer the dough into a pastry bag. Heat vegetable oil in a
frying
pan, decant portions of dough into it.
Fry the fritters on both sides until browned.
The result is puffy soft fritters.
They can be served both with honey and jam, and with sour cream.
