Bread is a combination of skill and patience. However, making homemade buns not only pleases the taste, but also fills the house with flavor. Home baking for breakfast gives the mood for the whole day.
Follow our recipe, and you will be surprised how easy and delicious it is to make buns at home.
Ingredients for kvass:
- milk – 370 ml;
- sugar – 3 tbsp;
- fresh yeast – 20 g.
Ingredients for the dough:
- flour – 700 g;
- sugar – 3 liters;
- butter – 120 g;
- yogurt – 3 tbsp;
- eggs – 2 pcs;
- lemon zest – pcs;
- vanillin;
- salt – a pinch;
- vegetable oil.
Preparation:
Put wheat flour in a deep bowl, make a small depression in the center. Pour in warm milk, pour in yeast and sugar. Stir in no more than 2 spoonfuls of the whole volume of flour. Leave the yeast to activate for 20 minutes.
Now add 3 tablespoons of thick Greek yogurt, as well as butter at room temperature. You will also need 2 slightly beaten egg yolks. Pour in a pinch of salt and vanilla. Grate lemon zest on a coarse grater. Finally add 3 tablespoons of sugar and stir.
Knead the dough lightly so that the flour absorbs the liquid. Cover with a towel and leave for 20 minutes.
Without adding flour, knead the dough on a work surface for about 4 minutes. When the dough is smooth, return it to the bowl,
cover with a towel and let stand for 30-45 minutes.
Sprinkle the table with flour and transfer the dough. Using your hands, stretch the dough and cut into portioned pieces.
Wrap apricot marmalade jam as a filling. Pinch the edges from the top.
In an upside down state send it to a container for cooking, cover it with a towel and leave it for 30-40 minutes.
Brush the buns with butter and
cook in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30-35 minutes. Cover with a towel and cool down. Then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
