Pies can be made with almost any kind of filling. If you think about it, it’s hard to imagine what ingredients you can’t fill pies with. There is baking with candy, with ice cream and exotic fruits.
Of course, to prepare unusual pies, you need to use special cooking methods. The recipe for a pie with ice cream is hidden from the public, it is possessed only by the Guild of Chefs of France. It
is worth telling about a no less unusual pie with zucchini filling.
Ingredients for zucchini pie:
- zucchini – 4 pcs;
- eggs – 4 pcs;
- flour – 100 g;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- ground black pepper – ¼ tsp.
Preparation of zucchini pie:
Get rid of the zucchini stalks, cut into not particularly thick semicircles. Put zucchini rings in a bowl, salt and mix.
In a separate bowl break the eggs, beat them. Sift flour into the egg mixture, knead the dough without lumps.
Add ground black pepper to the dough, stir. Squeeze zucchini half-rings from excess moisture and put them into the dough.

Grease the pan with vegetable oil, lay the zucchini in the dough on the surface, level it.
Cook the pie under a lid on medium heat for 20 minutes. Grease a flat plate with vegetable oil, cover the pan with it.
Turn the pan over, place the pie on the plate.
Next, from the plate, move the pie back into the skillet, not fried side down. Fry the other side of the pie in the same manner.
The result is a lazy zucchini pie. This is a quick oven-less way to make baked goods with vegetables.
