Salads have become an important part of every person’s daily life. It is impossible to find a restaurant or cafe that does not serve salads. This is a basic dish used for lunch and dinner.
Many people think that salads are very easy to prepare. But, not always the same salad from a professional chef and an amateur cook turns out the same. The thing is that the cook adheres to simple rules of cooking.
For example, cooks cut the ingredients in the same way. Different slicing of products contributes to the fact that the flavor of the salad drags some one ingredient. Also do not combine hot and cold products in the dish.
Let’s prepare a simple healthy beet salad.
Ingredients for beet salad:
- Beets – 2 pcs;
- Onion – 2 pcs;
- Garlic – 2 cloves;
- Juice of 1/2 lemon;
- Ground black pepper – 1/4 tsp;
- Ground nutmeg – a pinch;
- Ground coriander – 1 tsp;
- Walnuts – 50 g;
- Salt – 1/3 tsp;
- Vegetable oil – 4 tbsp;
- Parsley – a couple of sprigs.
Preparation of beet salad:
Rub the peeled beets on a coarse grater or on a Korean-style grater. Cut onions into quarter rings and fry them in a couple of spoons of vegetable oil.
Add beets to onions and fry together for 7 minutes. To the vegetables add ground black pepper, nutmeg and coriander, mix thoroughly.
Cool the beet mixture in a separate bowl

Pass garlic cloves through a press to the salad, pour lemon juice and vegetable oil, salt. Chop
finely parsley, chop nuts

Pour nuts and parsley in the salad, mix.
You get a healthy beet salad for every day.
