Draniki is a traditional dish of Belarusian cuisine, which is fritters made of grated potatoes. They can be served as an independent dish with sour cream or various sauces, or as a garnish to meat and fish dishes.
To prepare draniki, potatoes are grated on a coarse grater, salt and sometimes other spices are added to taste. There are many variations of this dish: some housewives add flour, eggs or kefir to the dough for draniki, and also prepare them with a filling of meat, mushrooms or cheese.
Draniki is a simple and tasty dish that can be a great choice for a family dinner or a festive table.
Ingredients:
- potatoes – 200 g;
- egg – pcs;
- salt – ¼ tsp;
- garlic – clove;
- mozzarella cheese – 50 g;
- Flour – 200 g.
Preparation of drayniki:
Rub the peeled potatoes on a fine grater. In a bowl with egg beat salt, black pepper to taste, dry garlic or pressed through the press.
Grate mozzarella cheese on a coarse grater, mix with potato mass and egg. Pour the flour into the mixture, knead the dough.
In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry 4 identical pancakes. You can divide the mass into 4 parts in advance.
Fry the pancakes on one side for 3 minutes under a lid, on the other side for a couple of minutes without a lid.
As a result, we have delicious aromatic potato draaniki. They can be served with sour cream.
