Today we propose to make cabbage cutlets.
Ingredients for cabbage cutlets:
- cabbage – 500 g;
- salt – tsp;
- eggs – 3 pcs;
- green onion – 5 g;
- onion – pcs.;
- garlic – clove;
- ground black pepper – ¼ tsp;
- Greek yogurt – 250 g;
- oregano – ⅓ tsp;
- powdered cheese – 90 g;
- cumin – ½ tsp;
- breadcrumbs – 150 g.
Preparation of cabbage cutlets:
Shred cabbage on large grater teeth, salt. Cut a small diced onion, fry until soft in a frying pan with vegetable oil.
Squeeze the cabbage in batches, get rid of excess moisture and transfer to another container. Add the soft onion to the cabbage, mix the components.
Salt the mixture, add ground black pepper, cumin and oregano. Break a couple of eggs into the mixture, mix the ingredients thoroughly and form small cutlets. Roll the cutlets in a mixture of breadcrumbs and cheese.
In a clean bowl, beat an egg and coat each cutlet in it. Dip the cutlets in the breadcrumbs again and place in a frying pan in hot vegetable oil.
We fry the cutlets on medium heat for 4 minutes on each side.
For the sauce we chop finely greens, grate a garlic clove and mix these ingredients with Greek yogurt. We add salt and ground black pepper to the sauce to taste.
These cabbage patties look like real meat patties. A good substitute for a meat dish if you don’t have minced meat for real cutlets at home.
