We know about cooking various flatbreads thanks to the countries of Central Asia. Most of the recipes for flatbread come from Armenia, Georgia and Uzbekistan.
In these countries, flatbread can replace the bread and pies we are accustomed to. The point is that Central Asians divide flatbreads into fresh and filled ones. Many people have heard about unleavened flatbreads.
However, not everyone knows about flatbreads with meat filling. It is worth sharing a recipe for cooking flatbread with meat.
Ingredients of dough for flatbread with meat:
- Flour – 400 g;
- Salt – tsp;
- Boiling water – 250 ml;
- Vegetable oil – 40 ml.
Ingredients for stuffing:
- Stuffing – 500 g;
- Onions – 2 pcs;
- Salt – tsp;
- Ground black pepper – a pinch.
Preparation of flatbread with meat:
Pour salt into the flour, mix the loose products. Pour boiling water into the flour, mix with a spatula elastic and not sticky dough. Pour vegetable oil into the dough, knead it into a dough.
Leave the dough under a food film in the heat for 10 minutes. At this time grind onion pieces in a meat grinder, mix with minced meat. Also pour into the minced meat ground black pepper and salt, mix thoroughly.
Divide the dough into 6 parts, form rolls
.
Similarly divide the minced meat, form lumps of meat.
With a rolling pin, roll the dough lumps into thin tortillas, where we place the balls of meat. Seal the meat lumps in the dough like in a sack.
Gently knead the meat balls into thick, large tortillas with your hands. Heat 50 ml of vegetable oil in a frying pan and place a flatbread on the bottom.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook the flatbread on low heat until golden on both sides.
This is a great substitute for battered belyashi and chebureks. The meat inside the flatbread is juicy and the outside is crispy.
