The history of chicken pies goes back to ancient times. Such dishes existed in many cultures and were one of the main dishes on the table.
Chicken pies appeared in the Slavic cuisine in pagan times

Then they were prepared on special occasions and rituals. Pies were a symbol of prosperity and wealth.
Over time, chicken pies became an everyday food. They were prepared in every family and served for lunch or dinner.
Bake yourself puffy and flavorful pies with chicken meat.
Ingredients of the dough:
- Kefir – 300 ml;
- Sugar – 1 tbsp;
- Salt – 1 tsp;
- Egg – 1 pc;
- Vegetable oil – 20 g;
- Flour – 500 g;
- Baking powder – 1 tsp.
Ingredients for the filling:
- Chicken thighs – 400 g;
- Mushrooms mushrooms – 200 g;
- Onions – 2 pcs;
- Butter – 50 g;
- Cream – 2 tbsp;
- Sour cream – 1 tbsp;
- Salt – ½ tsp.
Preparation:
In a bowl combine kefir with salt, sugar and egg, stir until the grains of sand dissolve.
Pour
the vegetable oil into the mixture, stir again.
Pour the flour and baking powder into the mixture, knead the elastic and soft dough for 8 minutes. Then leave the dough under a towel for 8 minutes.
Finely dice the onion, mushrooms and chicken thighs

Melt butter in a frying pan,
add onions
and fry until golden.
Add mushrooms to the onions and fry until the moisture in them evaporates
.
Add chicken meat to onions and mushrooms, fry until white.
Salt and pepper the stuffing, pour flour to it. Fry mushrooms, onions and meat with flour for a couple of minutes, remembering to stir constantly.
Add sour cream and cream to the stuffing, mix and cook for a minute
.
Leave the filling to cool, while kneading the dough.
Divide the dough into two equal parts, each part is divided into 6 rolls
.
Roll out the rolls into small flat cakes where we put the filling.
Seal the filling inside the patties as if they were sacks
.
In a frying pan in vegetable oil fry the patties on both sides until browned.
You get simple tasty patties with a juicy filling.
