Probably many people at the mention of pizza, remember not Italian masterpieces, but a dish from the cafeteria. At school, it was not uncommon to prepare pizzas of our own interpretation in the cafeteria. Such baked goods contained far from the products that we can see in professional pizzerias. As a rule, such pizza was filled with mayonnaise, put cucumbers, eggs and inappropriate cheeses.
However, in my youth, this pastry seemed quite acceptable and tasty. Now mini pizza has become quite luscious and unpalatable. This is confirmed even by schoolchildren. The relevance of the dish in the post-Soviet vision has faded.
You can try to cook a more modern mini pizza at home. This will not be a professional creation, but also worthy of attention.
Ingredients for mini pizza:
- water – 100 ml;
- cheese – 100 g;
- milk – 150 ml;
- ketchup – tsp;
- salt – ½ tsp;
- vegetable oil – 4 tablespoons;
- sugar – tbsp;
- green pepper – ½ pc;
- yeast – tsp;
- red pepper – ½ pc;
- flour – 350 g;
- yellow pepper – ½ piece;
- onion – pcs;
- tomato – pcs.
Preparation of mini pizza:
Mix warm water and hot milk, pour granulated sugar and salt into the liquid. Add yeast to the milk liquid, wait for the reaction of the product.
After the yeast reacts with the warm milk, sift flour into the liquid. Knead a sticky dough, add a couple spoonfuls of vegetable oil. After kneading the dough should become more elastic and not sticky.
Leave the dough in a warm place under a towel for 40 minutes. In the meantime, chop the yellow, red, green peppers and tomato into medium sized pieces. Cut the onion into half rings, place in the same bowl with the tomato and peppers, sprinkle with your favorite spices and salt.
Pour vegetable oil into the vegetable mixture and mix. Make 8 identical lumps of dough, place them on a baking tray covered with parchment
. Let the lumps stand under cellophane for 10 minutes, then knead the whole middle to the edges of the dough. We create saucer-shaped tortillas, which we smear with ketchup. On top of the ketchup layer, transfer the vegetable mixture.
Bake the mini pizzas at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes. At this time shred cheese on a fine grater, after cooking form cheese caps on the pizzas.
Cook the pizzas for an additional 10 minutes in the oven without turning down the temperature.
The result is delicious vegetable mini pizzas. This dish can be taken with you for lunch and also used as an appetizer.
