There are about 10,000 different kinds of salads in the world. However, these are only the official culinary specialties of chefs from all over the planet. Apart from professional cooks, every housewife has her own individual salads. The
author’s salads of different families are reflections of the culture of the country where they live. For example, in Southern countries more often prepare salads with various fruits and fresh vegetables. Asian countries like salads with fresh seafood and cabbage. In CIS countries salads are more hearty, often with a lot of mayonnaise in the composition.
Salads from every corner of the world are unique

They have their own history and traditions. Let’s give the recipe of one author’s salad – “Goat in the vegetable garden”.
Ingredients for salad “Goat in the vegetable garden”:
- Cucumbers – pcs;
- Boiled egg – 2 pieces;
- Smoked chicken – 1/2 breast;
- Prunes – 30 g;
- Mayonnaise – 150 g;
- Canned corn – 100 g;
- Cheese – 100 g.
Preparation of salad “Goat in the vegetable garden”:
Cucumber cut into thin small bars. Grate peeled boiled eggs on a fine grater.
Cut
smoked chicken
into
small pieces.
Cut prunes into small bars. Mix prunes with chicken and dress with mayonnaise. Put the chicken and prunes in the salad bowl as the first layer.
On the chicken layer put chopped eggs -½ of the total mass, distribute evenly.
Smear the egg layer with a thin mesh of mayonnaise

Sprinkle corn on this layer. We smear it with mayonnaise too.
On the corn layer we put cucumber bars. Grate cheese on a fine grater and sprinkle it on the cucumber layer smeared with mayonnaise.
Put the rest of the shredded eggs on the cheese layer. Sprinkle the egg layer with cheese. Create a mayonnaise mesh on the surface.
Decorate this salad with cucumber slices, lettuce leaves and crushed walnuts.
The salad will become a highlight of your festive table.
