Ingredients:

  • Flour – 650 g;
  • Raisins – 120 g;
  • Fresh yeast – 25 g;
  • Milk – 200 ml;
  • Butter – 120 g;
  • Sugar – 150 g;
  • Egg yolk – 2 pcs;
  • Lemon zest – 1 tsp;
  • Vanilla sugar – 10 g;
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp;
  • Salt – the tip of a knife.

Preparation of Easter cake:

In a bowl with yeast pour warm milk, mix. Pour salt and vanilla sugar into the yeast liquid, pour in 100 grams of melted butter

. Put lemon zest and turmeric in the yolks, mix and add to the yeast liquid. Pour in the sugar and mix thoroughly until the grains of sand dissolve.

Pour the flour into the milk mixture and knead an elastic and soft dough

Grease the dough with vegetable oil, cover with cling film and leave it for an hour.

Wash and dry the raisins

Grease the table with vegetable oil, roll out the dough into a thick layer on it, grease with melted butter

. Pour the raisins onto the layer and knead them inside with your hands.

Wrap the dough into a roll, seal the free edge. Divide the layer into small rolls 4-5 cm thick.
