Many housewives like to cook pirozhki, because they can be both an independent dish and a complement to borsch, soup or ear. Knowing the preference in your family, you can use different fillings from sweet and fruit to vegetable and meat. The dough in pirozhki can be combined with a huge range of ingredients, which will satisfy any taste preferences. The
trick of these pirozhki is that they are prepared quickly, because you do not have to wait long for the dough to rise. You can either pan fry or bake them in the oven. Choose the method you prefer.
Ingredients for the dough:
- flour – 700-800 g;
- dry yeast – 10 g;
- sugar – tbsp;
- salt – tsp;
- vegetable oil – 3 tbsp;
- warm water – 250 ml;
- boiling water – 250 ml.
Ingredients for stuffing:
- cabbage – 500 gr;
- onion – pcs;
- carrots – pcs;
- salt;
- pepper;
- smoked paprika.
Preparation:
To prepare the stuffing, finely chop the cabbage and send it to the pan. Add grated carrots and chopped onions
, mix well and then cover with a lid. Stew for 15 minutes.
Now add salt and pepper to taste. Do not forget about the paprika. Then cover again with a lid and wait 15 minutes until the filling is ready.
For the dough, take a deep bowl and pour three tablespoons of flour into it

Add a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon of sugar and vegetable oil. Pour boiling water over the mixture. Stir with a whisk and wait until the preparation cools down and becomes warm. Add 250 ml of warm water and 10 grams of dry yeast. Stir
in the sifted flour and use a spoon to mix. When the dough becomes tighter, knead it with your hands and knead
for about 10 minutes. To prevent the mass from sticking to your hands, you can grease your hands with vegetable oil. Cover the preparation with a plastic bag and leave it for 10 minutes.
Cut into pieces, roll balls and leave it for 10 minutes under the plastic bag.
Now mold the patties. Knead each ball into a layer and put cabbage in the center. Do not use a rolling pin.
Heat a frying pan with plenty of oil on the stove. Fry the patties on both sides.
