The fastest pies: you can make them with any filling. Boiling water dough, no eggs at all

Our world is so diverse that we have a large number of different world cuisines. It is noteworthy that each cuisine has its own pie recipes. Some of the ways of cooking baked goods are ancient, and some have come to us quite recently.

For example, in the XVIII century, Strasbourg pie was made. It consists of goose pate. This pie was so popular in Europe that it was nicknamed imperishable.

There is also Taten pie, consisting of apple open filling. It was prepared by sisters in the XIX century.

We are also ready to share with you a recipe for delicious puffy pies.

Ingredients for cabbage pies:

  • flour – 680 g;
  • tomato sauce – 2 tbsp;
  • salt – 1.5 tsp;
  • onion – pcs;
  • sugar – tbsp;
  • carrots – pcs;
  • vegetable oil – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • cabbage – 500 g;
  • boiling water – 250 ml;
  • raw yeast – 25 g;
  • water – 200 ml.

Preparation of cabbage pies:

In a frying pan with a small amount of oil, fry a finely chopped onion in advance. While the onion is frying, chop carrots on a small grater. Add carrots to the onions, cook the vegetable mixture for 3 minutes.

Shred cabbage,

to the onion and carrot mixture and stir. Stew the stuffing under a lid at a below-average heat for 10-15 minutes. Then to the stuffing add tomato paste, half a spoonful of salt and ground black pepper to taste.

Mix the stuffing components again, cover and stew for an additional 5 minutes.

Pour 3 spoons of flour into a bowl, add salt, granulated sugar and vegetable oil. Pour boiling water over the mixture, stir and let it cool down a bit.

Add yeast to the warm flour mixture, stir and pour warm water (temperature 40 degrees Celsius). Sift flour into the mixture and knead an elastic and soft dough. Knead

by hand on a table greased with vegetable oil for about 5-7 minutes.

Form the dough into small lumps of 70 grams each. Transfer the rolls to a baking tray dusted with flour. Cover the koloboks with a towel and let them stand for 10 minutes.

Use your hands to make tortillas out of the koloboks, where you put the filling. Pinch the edges of the dough to create patties. Dip the patties seam side down into hot vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry them on both sides until golden.
