Pickling is a method of preservation in which foods are placed in a solution containing acid (usually vinegar) and salt. The acid and salt help prevent the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms that can cause food spoilage.

Let’s tell you how to pickle tomatoes in a delicious way

Ingredients:

  • tomatoes – kg;
  • onion – 4 pcs;
  • vinegar – 30 ml;
  • garlic – 3 cloves per jar;
  • parsley – a sprig per jar;
  • salt – 2 tsp. per jar;
  • sugar – 1 tbsp. per jar;
  • vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. per jar;
  • 9% vinegar – 2 tsp. per jar.

Preparation of pickled tomatoes:

Divide each tomato in two, cut onions into rings. Do not forget to pour boiling water in advance lids.

Pour into each jar 30 ml of vinegar, cover with lids and shake. Pour vinegar, put in the jars first garlic, then 8-9 tomatoes, 1 onion

. Also put in the jars parsley, pour salt, sugar. Pour vegetable oil into the jars, and then boiling water.

Cover the tomatoes with lids

. Put the tomatoes in a pot of boiling water, sterilize for 12 minutes. Then pour vinegar into the jars with tomatoes, tightly close the lids.
